Vote of no-confidence left me with no confidence

A couple of months ago all of South Africa had their eyes on our president once again. Yep you guessed it, I’m talking about the vote of no confidence that took place in parliament a few months back. With about 193 votes for the president, 122 against him and 7 members of parliament that chose not to vote, it was a very close call. One that everyone from Cape Town to Johannesburg, glued to their seats.

Have cigarette bans made a difference?

Has the ban on the advertisement of cigarettes really reduced the amount of people who smoke in South Africa? According to research countries that have banned tobacco adverts and promotion showed a significant 7% in reduction in tobacco consumption.
