Whether we like to admit it or not, we all have secrets. Some big, some small, and some just embarrassing. A secret is when you decide to not tell anyone (or only tell a few select people) about a particular thing or moment.
Some secrets are silly and have no effect or consequence whilst others can have a an impact when shared with others . But as we all know secrets have a capability to break trust amongst friends, families, work colleagues as well as our partners. Which is why it is important to know when you should keep a secret and when it is ok to share it.
From my experience I believe that only you can rate the value of your secrets. Because in most cases only you know the impact it will make whether positive or negative if it’s kept or shared.
So the best advice I could give is that you need to sit down and think thoroughly about what you’re about to do before sharing a secret. Whether it’s your secret or someone else’s. And especially so if it someone else secret, as they might it want kept secret for a reason. Because once shared, you cannot unshare a secret and you have to live with the consequences.
