As some of you might already know, eating dinner is one of the best things we can do for our bodies. This means eating dinner between 5pm and 7pm. This way our bodies can digest the food and we sleep better. However, sometimes eating at 5pm or 7pm doesn’t work and we end up eating late.
Which means, instead of our bodies using the food we eat for energy, the food stays in our body and builds up to fat. Which not only messes with our sleep but also makes us gain weight. So, how do you overcome late night dinner times? It’s pretty simple really. Prepare your meals before hand so that when you come back from work you don’t have to think about what to eat. Not only that, but you can also make healthier food choices if the prep work is already done.
Then during dinner, try stick to proteins like chicken or fish, some sort of grain and vegetables. End your meal with a small drink like a small juice or a glass of water to aid in digestion. If you are still hungry then try a healthy dessert like a piece of dark chocolate. Remember that our stomachs do tell us when we’re full – listen to it.
