Ah period’s. That one time of the month when, for some of us everything seems to stop. All of sudden you can start to feel more tired than usual, irritable and even upset at everything and everyone. For someone like me, my period is one of the worst weeks. Not just for me but for everyone around me. About a week before my period starts I become very irritable and angry at everyone and anyone. I start crying about everything and anything and I even start craving chocolate and sweets. Even though in my everyday life I hate chocolate and sweet things.

From problems with partners to work, school, university, parents and even just waking up feeling down. Which is why having a cost free pick me up is important. For me that solution is music. It may sound silly but trust me. There is nothing more healing than listening to good music.

Our vagina has a natural acidic pH level which must be kept at a normal level for good self cleaning. The term “pH” stands for power of hydrogen and is the measurement of hydrogen in the body. Not only that but vaginas also have good bacteria that fights infections. During our menstrual cycle the vagina’s pH level increases because blood has a pH level of 7.4. It can also increase during sex as semen has a pH level of 7.1 to 8.
Pregnancy can be an exciting and stressful period. With so much information going around it can become hard to figure out what is good advice and what is just nonsense. When it comes to exercise, it is normal to feel reluctant at first however exercising is actually good for you and the baby during pregnancy. It’s good for strengthening your muscles and builds endurance for when you give birth. It will also be easier for you to shed weight after the pregnancy. In the same breath be careful that you don’t overdo it because that could also strain you and the baby. Having good personal hygiene is simple, and most of the things we we start learning from an early age. These things include; washing your hands after using the toilet, brushing your teeth and bathing everyday among others. As we get older however, we can sometimes forget to take good care of ourselves. Especially with no parents or teachers reminding us what to do. Which is why it is important to remind ourselves to do these things. Not only to keep us looking good but also healthy.
