Setting New Years resolutions

Setting goals is one of the most important aspect’s of life. Not only does setting goals help get you focused. It also helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the most of your life. Not only that but it also works as a guide to help you decide where you want to go in life.

Below are some tricks I like to use at the beginning of the year or when I start a new project. These easy to follow tips help me set a clear goal and see what steps I need to take in order to reach my goal or goals.

  • First think of something you want to achieve and then commit to it. It may be something related to work or even your personal life. What ever it is, have a clear idea on what that thing would look and feel like.
  • Set goals that motivate you. Setting goals like lose weight not only negatively frame your goal but also make you feel bad about yourself. Instead, try using positive words like “get healthier”. This way when you do something like go to gym it isn’t punishment.
  • Write down your goals.
  • Make your goal SMART.





Time frame

Once you have set your goals, it will be easier to move forward and achieve your goals, what ever they are.
